Isn't it obvious? Take a large stick and some string and tie a camera (that you brought because this is for research), put it through the arch, then use another stick to push to button. You'll take a picture!

ReplyDeleteAlternatively, first check to ensure that this IS some sort of gate and not just an opaque laser that's going to fry off faces. (Intern hands suggested.) Then, if for some reason a camera and/or rope wasn't brought, form a human chain by linking arms, then file in a few people to look around, having the human chain secured to something.
Also, check if both sides of the gate work the same way. If so, what happens when you stand beside the archway and try to clap your hands into it?
